FAQ

  • Here are a few questions that might create clarity on that question for you.

Can you afford to make coaching a priority at this time to achieve the outcome(s) you want?

    Can you afford not to?

Are you at all resistant to the idea of receiving support in order to reach your goal(s)?

What are your competing priorities and how might they affect your progress?

Will improved accountability help you to achieve the outcomes you want?

Are you in the midst of any major transitions that could prevent progress?

Are you willing to have your ideas and beliefs respectfully challenged when appropriate?

Have you experienced recent trauma that may benefit from being addressed before proceeding?

Why is THIS the best time to partner with a professional coach?

  • While coaching may not be rocket science, the results can be just as powerful.

More than a casual ‘conversation’ between coach and client, coaching holds the space for reflection and discovery.

Kelley takes the time upfront to not only clarify your goals, but to inventory the resources at your disposal that will support your progress toward important and well-deserved milestones.

By disrupting current professional plateaus, you generate meaningful momentum toward achieving your goals sooner.

  • Incorporate reflection time daily, weekly, quarterly, annually. Learning = Action + Reflection.

Be honest and transparent and willing to work to effectively communicate your needs, wants, goals.

Make time before coaching sessions to embody a growth (flexible) mindset.

Consider ahead of your coaching session what you want as a result of meeting. If you don't know, your coach won't either.

Partner with your coach by providing insight into what is most helpful and least helpful to you during sessions.

Say if you are not making the progress you want and be willing to pause or cancel the engagement.

Don't come to a coaching session sick, distracted, or unprepared. Reschedule instead.

  • Unlike family members or friends, Kelley enters the coaching relationship free from her clients' personal histories and the expectations that so often cloud our loved ones’ perspectives.

As a trained strategic thought partner, Kelley is an objective listener who refrains from advice giving, mentoring, or ego stroking. Her social science training is invaluable to her ability to listen for our biases towards goals and strategies and to ask with great sensitivity the powerful questions that make coaching so effective.
